I've been getting calls from Sessions, Fishman, Nathan & Israel, LLP over the last few weeks regarding an old debt. They've left a couple of voicemails asking me to call back, but I'm a little hesitant to engage without knowing more. I’m not even 100% sure the debt is valid or if it’s past the statute of limitations.
Has anyone else had experience with this firm? I’m trying to figure out if this is something I should handle carefully or if it’s fairly routine. I know they represent creditors, but I also want to make sure my rights are protected under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
From what I’ve read, they have offices in Louisiana and Texas, and they handle debt collection and creditor representation. I'm considering sending a debt verification letter first to get everything in writing.
