Organizations must assess their organizational requirements before embarking on the adoption of automation technology. Some of the things to consider include the nature of processes involved, the anticipated reduction in time consumption, ease of integrating the technology with the current software, scalability, security and the cost. The way people will work with the technology is another important thing to assess. A good starting point is usually a small and clearly defined process. This will enable organizations to measure results before implementing further automation.
