Maserati Ghibli ZF 8-speed jerks in stop-start traffic – any gearbox specialist in Sharjah?
I'm dealing with a frustrating issue on my 2016 Ghibli – the 8-speed automatic has started jerking harshly when creeping in traffic, like it can't decide between 1st and 2nd gear. It's fine once I'm moving normally, but that low-speed hesitation makes driving around Sharjah a nightmare. I've had the transmission fluid changed at a general workshop, but that didn't help at all. A friend who owns a Levante mentioned that these ZF boxes need proper adaptation resets and sometimes valve body work, and he recommended finding a Sharjah Maserati Gearbox Service because the hourly rates are better than Dubai and there are shops in Industrial Area 6 that actually have the PIWIS or similar diagnostic tools. Has anyone here had their Ghibli or Quattroporte transmission sorted in Sharjah? I'm really hoping it's just a mechatronic issue and not a full rebuild, but I need a place that knows these units inside out. Any honest experiences would be hugely appreciated before I drop serious cash.
