I've been saving for years and finally found a 2016 Rolls-Royce Ghost that looks immaculate in the photos and the seller seems like a genuine collector. But I've heard that these cars can have hidden nightmares like failing air struts that cost a fortune, or electronics that act up only after driving for an hour. I'm no mechanic and I definitely can't spot a worn driveshaft coupler or a leaking rear main seal just by looking under the hood. So I'm thinking I should book a Dubai Rolls Royce Pre Purchase Inspection from a specialist who knows exactly where these cars hide their expensive problems. Has anyone here actually used an independent inspector for a high-end car like this? Did they find something that saved you from a huge repair bill? I don't mind paying a few thousand dirhams for peace of mind, but I want to make sure the inspector is thorough enough to check things like the adaptive suspension, the complex HVAC system, and even the condition of the engine mounts. Any recommendations or advice would be hugely appreciated before I take the leap.
