Summer is when UAE batteries die, not right after it. The heat cooks them for months and they fail the first time the load changes. Online order or not, check the manufacture date on the label before you accept it. Anything over six months old on the shelf, I'd send back.

Ugh, MOE parking lot in that heat is the worst place for it. Glad you weren't stuck somewhere with kids in the car. Yukon batteries are big and heavy, so a mobile fitting makes sense versus hauling it yourself.

Mine went the same way on a Tahoe two summers ago, right at Dubai Marina. Took about 45 minutes for the guy to arrive and he was fine once he did. Ask for an actual time window and a phone number before you commit to anyone.

Make sure whoever you pick matches the group size and CCA to the original spec. Yukons with start-stop or lots of electronics don't like a cheap undersized unit. Some of the newer ones also want the battery registered after the swap, so ask if they do that.

Has anyone actually compared warranty terms on these? Some places say 2 years but it's pro-rated after the first 6 months. Also, did the OP's old battery have the original GM sticker on it, or was it already a replacement?
